REWIND:     Back in the summer of  '05, JIMMY JACKSON called me.  My name is Miguel.  During this call he told me that I was his ”SAM” .  I asked,  “what do you mean by that?”   He said that in the LORD OF THE RINGS MOVIE, THE RETURN OF THE KING, that FRODO BAGGINS  was weak.  In fact, too weak to go on.  It was in this moment, that SAMWISE GAMGEE carried Frodo.  Jimmy said that at some of the hardest POINTS in his life,  that he felt I carried him.

     Then I heard someone say, “well then, you must be Frodo.”  I then realized it was my voice that said it.  Weird, huh?

     From this moment on, we referred to each other as” FRODO & SAM.”  Nothing out of the ordinary. It was just a way of declaring the power of our budding friendship.

     As time passed, our small group of two turned into three, four, and then more . We thought it would BE COOL to give them names that suited them too. So, ANGEL CASTRO became GIMLI, and CLINTON HALLOWAY became LEGOLAS. 

     During the summer of '07 in SAN ANTONIO, TX, I was thinking of a name that we could call our small men's group.  The word TRIBE came to mind. I guess because the word means simply this:

                 A group of individuals committed to the protection and preservation of said group. That it took every guy to survive. It took each guy getting each other's back. Because without these other MEN, we would be picked off , ONE BY ONE, by the enemy of the tribe.  A group of MEN who knew that personal growth could only reach its ZENITH PEAK by standing on the shoulders of the MEN around them.

      FAST FORWARD:     It's now October of '07, and we're MOVING FORWARD. I was doodlin'. Brainstormin'. Trying to think of a great website name. Yeah, I was DREAMIN'.  Then out of nowhere, the word TRIBALINC popped in my head. At first, I thought nah, sounds like a tattoo site's name. But man, I sure did fall in love with the name.

     I know, I know, why a website? Well all I  can say is that I believed it would be an incredible vehicle to help other men, disconnected men, get further down the road . A vehicle to actually MOVE MEN FORWARD.  It was upstairs at church,  on a Sunday night, that RICHARD FRIEMEL & JIMMY signed off on the name. It was this night that tribalinc.org was born.

     PLAY:   So here we are, we now have a website. A BIG DREAM come true.  A tribe now known as tribalinc.org.  And a movement that has now crossed church lines, by incorporating men from other church denominations and even a brother not ready to join up.  Hope this letter clarifies why our contact page has fictional characters. Why it uses images from the LORD OF THE RINGS. And why we have taken our mission to the WORLD wide web.
